Charles Chaim Wax - I refused the glance

Charles Chaim Wax - I refused the glance

a tiny man br in a toy coffin br eight years br my best buddy br kidneys dead br spent br endless br hours each week br captured by the machine br devouring his blood br then shooting br the red bits and liquid pieces back br into his guts br clean br from the day’s turmoil and joy br doctors said the pumping br could last 20 years br past that br God’s creation br withered br and he hooked up to br metal and tubes br 2 years beyond br the fateful closing date br knowing br the last part of being br oozed away br without hope br his blood soon br to turn thick and turgid br he lived as long br as he could br yet not long enough br in the grave br now br six years br my tears this day br not praise enough br for a heart br consumed by life.
