Oh, words! Why do you torture me? br You spin inside my head - br I hear you from the morning light br Until I'm tucked in bed; br You cry to me unending, br You interrupt my chores - br I run for pen and paper br To record those sounds of yours; br Some of you are happy, br Some of you are sad, br But most of all you pester br And contrive to drive me mad! br If I try to block you br And pretend that you're not there, br I'll hear you on the radio! br Do any of you care br About the stress you cause me? br I guess the answer's 'No', br Because here comes another poem - br And on and on you go!br br Linda Oribr br
