You may wonder br how peeling the shells off eggs br makes me smile...... br but it does! br br I've been making egg salad sandwiches br and smiling the whole time! br br While I am wrestling with the eggs br trying to get the paper-thin shell br to come off without removing too much egg....... br I'm reminded of my dad. br br Whenever my dad would peel eggs br it would kick him off br into an hour long tangent.... br br ''Those stupid farmers! '' br ''They are so greedy they give the chickens br something to make them lay more eggs br and it's making their shells so thin I can't remove it br without losing half the egg! '' br br He would go on and on while we rolled our eyes br and gave eachother ''the look''. br ''Here he goes again! '' br We learned to volunteer to peel the eggs br just to avoid hearing the speech. br br Well, he's been gone for 12 yrs now........ br What I wouldn't give to hear that speech again! br I still hear him. br Only now, I smile while I wrestle the shells off the eggs.
