Mary Nagy - The Dandelions Were Listening

Mary Nagy - The Dandelions Were Listening

I never did the br ''He loves me not.... br He loves me'' game br with flowers. br I already knew nobody loved me br so why should I listen br to a stupid flower? br br I did make wishes br on dandelions br after the bloom died br and it was tiny spikes of fluff br waiting to blow away br till next year. br br I hated wasting my time br but I couldn't resist. br I figured br ''If there's even a small hope br that this will work.... br I've got to try! '' br br I would find a spot br where nobody could see me br and I'd whisper br my one wish br the same wish br every time. br br Thousands of dandelions br blown away br by my pleading breath. br br I never told a soul br my wishes. br Until now. br I wished to be happy br one day... br with a husband br who loves me br and kids who love me. br I wished so hard... br br I never thought br those dandelions br were listening.
