Conúil Duffy - Looking Back

Conúil Duffy - Looking Back

You tried to talk to me today. br I didn't reply. You know why. br It wasn't that I didn't want to, br you know that, I didn't know how to. br The time isn; t right for us (to be friends again) . br br I needed some cheering up. br So I went down town. br I thought it would've been too painful, br but it was so busy and full. br I couldn't resist. I'm a fool. br br I looked about to buy you something. br Then I remembered I couldn't, and shouldn't. br We were so cold the last time, br and so happy too. br There wasn't anything I wouldnt do. br All I wanted was you. br br I thnk about of often br sipping tea from my favorite cup. br What did you not like in me? br that soon became so key, br and caused our friendship to cease to be? br br I had some chips, in your honour. br I didn't finish them, in your honour. br I'll never finish them, br until we share a cold, wintery night, br until everything I didn wrong br has been made right.
