Murderer came to me this night, br Frightened my angels, br Covered me in blood! br br In the frozen haunted land br I was taken and left behind... br Should I pray? br But my prayer has no strength, br Should I believe? br But my faith has no power, no relief! br br The demons are set free, br With every other fear br That crawls inside of me, br My confession, the priest cannot hear, br Steel like voices come out of my mouth. br br The ritual to bring me back to life fails, br The invocation of other forces, br Only resurrects the devil... br br All the hurt and the fear, br Take them away, and my stigma! br Lightning falls from heavens, br Seeking for my salvation, br I am left in darkness, br I am imprisoned, br Possessed... br br Possessed by demonic forces, br Shadows grow inside of me... br But the angel’s whispering br Brings me relief: br br “The real evil, br The devil, br Is only fear...” br br Rise, ray of light, br Rise to heal my wounds, br Rise and bring me forgiveness... br br ©Elya Thorn.
