I think one of the reasons people aren’t more br devout is that going to church is such a chore. br Maybe you and I can think up some ways to br make church attendance more enticing. How br about having the pastor ride a mechanical bull br on the pulpit? You know, like John Travolta in br Urban Cowboy. I don’t think that was one of his br better movies, by the way. He was good in Pulp br Fiction, where Samuel Jackson recites a Bible br passage before shooting that guy. That sure br made the Bible passage have impact. See, br that’s what I’m talking about. Impact. Excitement. br Drama. That’s what church needs more of. br br Maybe volunteers could dress up in devil suits br and curse and scream at parishioners as they br make their way in to church. They could yell br things like, “No, don’t go in there! Stay outside br and do some drugs! ” That would sure wake br people up. It would at least be good for a laugh. br Either way, the church benefits. Of course there br will always be some grouchy members of the br congregation who raise a fuss about the whole br thing. Just ignore them. Party poopers.
