Not Long Left - A park from the past

Not Long Left - A park from the past

Sun hairdrying the grass, br morning dew, br Fading from View. br In the park thinking of you. br br As a young boy br miskicks the football, br Father lovingly laughs, br under the dipsering clouds of wool. br br Two dogs chasing one tail, br doesnt the sky look pale, br Its always colder when walking alone, br my hands seek solace, br in pockets. br br so many memories in this park, br held in the trees arms, br dancing with the morning leftover leaves, br teasing the sun, with the footballs, br carried with the morning bird calls. br br little boys laughter burns my ears, br little boys laughter starts my tears. br br beside the exit, tied to rusty gates, br a notice, stating that some housing br company is planning to build br instant homes on top of this park. br br Nothing natural lasts, br love, nature, trust br fragile as glass. br goodbye past, goodbye grass.
