Linda Hepner - Meta

Linda Hepner - Meta

He used my dreams to send away, br He drank my moisture daily, br The references to toys and play br Pulled down my heart so greyley. br br For meta was my mind and I br Gave of it to him freely, br But he has minced it in a pie br And baked my guts quite steely. br br Impatient on her gurney she br Heard doctors saying truss her, br She watched her limbs make meta-flee br And heard the brains discuss her. br br They took their knives and cut her flesh br Whilst talking of Bob Dylan, br And scarcely noticed she was fresh br With salty water fillin'. br br When they had done they stitched a thong br And rubbed their hands, they'd finished! br The organ excised was quite wrong, br Her blood was now diminished. br br Get up, get up! The Doctors cheer, br You see it's just delusion! br So etherized she tries to hear br If they intend transfusion. br br The blood they shoot back in is red; br It sounds like her own rhyming; br But she no longer knows her head, br Unsynchronized her timing. br br If she could have her limbs again br She'd give them to him freely; br Just hide the meta thoughts and then br She'd keep her heart quite steely.
