Crystal Johnson - Angels Must Exist

Crystal Johnson - Angels Must Exist

I tried to spread my wings and fly br But I crashed into a wall br It seems like every time I try br I fail and then I fall br br I tried to keep on moving br I tried to rise up from the ground br But something kept on pulling me br And throwing me back down. br br My wings seem to be broken br Shattered beyond repair br But the moment I was giving up br I saw him standing there. br br He looked at me and smiled br And my wings started to mend. br He said, “It’s okay if you stumble, br But you have to try again br br He said to keep attempting br Despite of all these things. br I told him I was scared to fly br And he whispered, “I have wings.” br br So once again, I rose back up br And started to let go br Of the things I was holding on to br And I slowly started to float. br br He was flying right beside me br Making sure I didn’t fall br He was holding tightly on my hand br And not once let go at all. br br I told him the sky was high enough br We would pass the limit soon. br He said, “Don’t say the sky’s the limit, br When there are footprints on the moon.” br br The moment we started landing br He leaned over and gave me a kiss. br And his smile reassured me br That angels must exist.
