I’m not much of a planner. br I didn’t mean to write this poem. br This wasn’t on my plan. br But then, I'm not much of a planner. br br I love the fact that you br plan everything in life. br I love the way you plan the day ahead br every morning br in those yellow post-it-notes. br I love the way you post them br In a line of two rows br two columns. br They are smartly laid out br and look perfect. br br I love the way you review your plans br every evening when you get home. br I love to see you put an “X” mark br on the plans you managed to execute. br I laugh at how I never see many “X”s on br those little yellow notes. br You are a good planner, br But you never carry out many of them. br I love the way you come with br a bunch of excuses and pretexts br on why the day didn’t go as planned. br br I love the way you call me disorganized br and advise me to learn from you. br I love how you ask me to follow br your example, and go with plans. br br I laugh at the fact that br You are a good planner br not an executor, and yet br you never know it. br br 12.4.
