Hugh Cobb - Lacking all Rhyme or Reason

i. br br lacking all rhyme or reason br skating through darkness br leaving trails of light br sparks reveal a void: br randomness seems a sound approach; br even scientific br (except for Heisenberg's Principle.) br br ii. br br an experiment in consciousness: br lab rats all, br we run merrily br round our mazes br seeking that perfect br chunk of cheese br trying to avoid the random shocks br (& dead ends) the flesh is heir to. br (with apologies to the Bard) br br iii. br br are we simply mechanistic, br accidental beings? br How can accident beget such art br as Hubble reveals: br splendid views of our illusion, br the one in which we dwell? br br iv. br br like Matroyshka dolls, br universe in universe br dimension in dimension br no particle too small br no macrocosm too large, br both ends of infinity br lead invariably to the same point: br br v. br br all that is: illusion br all that is sensory, br all false readings br designed to trap the mind br keeping spirit firmly off its path... br br vi. br br our journey is neither found br in microscope nor telescope br but only in Heart's own center, br only in the last loving breath, br only when we know br that we are all one another br in reflection & in fact: br fragments of the same whole, br all truly one br & there is no other but we.
