Danielle Anne Wilkinson - Dancing in the night

Danielle Anne Wilkinson - Dancing in the night

Fluffing her skirt and straightening her hair br She looks in the mirror with a nervous glare. br br She slips on her shoes and circles her feet br Shes nervous inside, yet she looks so neat br br Behind the curtain her heart beats more br She hears the music, and the crowds roar. br br She takes a deep breath and glides on the stage br She has captured freedom like a bird from its cage. br br She leaps in the air, like a lion to its prey br Shes pleased with the show at the end of the day. br br Now its all over, she sighs with relief br Dance is her life and thats her belief. br br The crowd go crazy for the free little bird br She moves like a swan, yet never to be heard. br br Free til the next show br Turn a new page br The shoes are hung up and the bird goes to its cage.
