Uriah Hamilton - Catching Flower Petals

Uriah Hamilton - Catching Flower Petals

I could search this city at night with lamps br For a piece of clothing br You left behind with the fragrance of your perfume br And the lovely remnants of your lipstick kiss. br br I would be in utter bliss br With my contemplations of your brown hair br Sweetly swaying in the summer breeze br And what it would mean to me br If you were close enough br So I could feel you breathe. br br This life is so many flower petals br Falling to the sacred ground, br But I’m trying to catch every one of them br And bring them to you, br I want to place them at your sandaled feet, br Never doubt this simple poetry br Seeking to enter your soul.
