William Cook - Genus Canis Liberalis

I hate to hear dogs barking br it reminds me of the humans br that put them there behind the fences br of boring little houses br with unimaginative small yards br br it reminds me of stupidity br bleeding from those ignorant fools br like blood from a wound that never heals br br it reminds me of war br & the things that die therein br that had no cause to die br & blunt greed that passes for posterity br & all the other putrid human traits br that we convince ourselves as honourable br & pure br we without fault or accountability br judge & jury br to the poor dumb animals br we breed & burn br with our twisted love br empirically void of truth br br I like to hear dogs barking br with excitement br when they chase rabbits into the briar br from across an open field br with the sun on their backs br & not a whip br br & then the dog will sit br paws crossed br a smile on his fresh face br amongst the shade of nearby trees br in long grass br & it will watch & wait br unafraid, content br just a dog br unfashioned by anything other br than its own pure nature br br far away from fences br small yards & even smaller br human minds.
