Irene C S ClarkHogg - An Elephant Called Esmerelda

This is in answer to Dee's challenge br br I live near a small village br In a large cave beside a stream br That a big bunny abandoned years ago br And now it fulfills my dream. br br I can sit here and do my knitting br On days when it is wet. br Sometimes I pop down to the shops br Or hairdressers for a wash & set. br br Some of the villagers do complain br About my enormous feet br Well, I am inclined to squash things br As I'm walking down the street. br br There's something else they moan about. br They say I'm rather rude br But they collect what I have left br And it does their roses good. br br There aren't many elephants in England br So I get lonely now and again br But I have my computer br And I write poetry now and then.
