We discussed about ‘Sexual harassment’ br In class the other day. br Every guy present there vowed to br Never harass a girl, as it was unethical and br Because they were asked - br How would they feel if the same happened to their sisters? br They answered - ‘Bad’ - in unison br And said they were a sensitized bunch. br br Minutes later, just outside the college br Unruly and cheap guys br And some of the guys present in the class br Whistled as she passed them by br Dropped sleazy remarks and br Ogled at her assets. br br Some of us girls br Tried to help the poor girl who had tears in her eyes, br But we too got brushed aside br And had to bear the shady comments from cheap guys. br br And what did they, the GUYS do? br - Just enjoyed the scenes unfold. br Their feet stuck with fevicol to the ground br And eyes and ears feeling the sadistic pleasure br They didn’t do a damn thing br NOT A DAMN THING! br br Their conscience isn’t conscious enough br About the right and wrong br Male chauvinism is a mere bluff. br If that girl were their sister, would they still be so nonchalant? br br And they call themselves ‘sensitized’ br (Yeah right * smirking *) br Try putting yourself in our shoes br And you shall restore your values. br br (23 August 2006)br br .Pd.
