Scarlett Treat - Wednesday Never Came (For September 11th Victims)

It is the fortune of poeple br that the shadows br of our futures do not br lie heavy br on our minds. br br We go about br our lives with br no worry for the future br that lies in wait, br with its pain and sorrow. br br On Tuesday, they fought br with their spouses br over breakfast, br and planned to set it right, br but Wednesday never came. br br On Tuesday the children br didn't do their homework, br and they thought, br 'Tomorrow, I'll do better, ' br but Wednesday never came. br br On Tuesday, they quarreled br with their parents, br and thought to say, 'Sorry, ' br to them later, br but Wednesday never came. br br On Tuesday, they promised br to see Grandmother, br who had been alone, neglected br for so long, br but Wednesday never came. br br On Tuesday they forgot br to kiss their spouses br because they were busy br earning a dollar, br and Wednesday never came. br br So, beware of the br shadows of the future. br Prepare each day as though br it is our Tuesday., for br Wednesday may never come. br br (This was written in grief for all the br victims of the 911 bombing of the br World Trade Building, New York, br the ones who never had a chance br to have a Wednesday.
