She was still a child br Just six years of age br But then a mean, sick man br Came and tore it all away br br While sitting alone one day br This mean man walked through the door br The man started his thing br And her innocents was no more br br The man was her step-fathers mate br And being so young, she did not understand br So told her mum in joke br Then things got out of hand br br The man then went to court br And put away with bail br But within two weeks, her step-dad had br Saved money for him to get out of jail br br For 6 years, she was safe br But had those memories to deal with br And from that point on br She always thought “what if? ” br br Up until she was 12 br She thought she was safe from him br But then he came back over again br And turned the lights to dim br br She tried to scream br He taped her mouth br He then went in br Then back out br br And so again the torture started br And the poor girl felt like she’d died br He told her if she told anyone, she would br So when he left, she sat in her room and cried br br She felt dirty, and sick in the gut br But for two years, her silence she held br But it got too much, she let it out br She got on the balcony and yelled br br She screamed and screamed br Until her throat was sore br After she cried, and did the unthinkable br And after, lay crying on the floor br br And now she lets her story be known br In the best form for people to see br She is now telling the world with this last verse br She was abused, and is saying it in poetry…br br Tamara Moirbr br
