Kavitha Krishnamurthy - Autobiography of a seed

I was a petite seed br And no one paid any heed br br Placed in a nursery br Listen to my story; it is a mixture of glee and tragedy br br One day a little girl came by br Hey! I said, can you hear my cry? br br I prayed to god to relieve me from here br Will my dream come true was my fear br br Suddenly two gentle hands came forward br I wanted to be brave and not a coward br br They sowed me in the mud br My friends sun and water gave me the food br br I opened my eyes and saw the first sunshine br The world looked pretty and so fine br br My life was happy and full of spirits though br I have little clashes sometimes and my friends became foe br br I grew up into a tree so brawny br With my leaves so downy br br Slowly I began to think that I was useless br And this thought made me restless br br One day a group of kids came and swinged on my branch br My fruits were collected for a ranch br br Weary travelers rested in my shade br Slowly I began to realize why I was made br br If you too feel dejected like me br Take my life as an inspiration for the coming days to bebr br Kavitha Krishnamurthybr br
