Sidi J. Mahtrow - Willow Springs Cemetery

Sidi J. Mahtrow - Willow Springs Cemetery

A cemetery is more than a resting place for bones br Or where at last silence comes br To quiet the ravages of time br Upon a body past its prime. br br It's a place for celebration br Where ends this bit of Nature's creation br Doing what could be done br To address the trials faced by this one. br br Placed here on earth as was intended br To enjoy life, never ended br But somehow problems always seemed to be br Greater than could be solved by him (or she) . br br So at the cemetery where the funeral ends br Life goes on, for both enemies and friends. br Both groups can call it a celebration br For they have buried one who in summation br Represented what was of good heart and mind br Who loved and respected his fellow kind. br br So lift up your glass and cheer br For this is the passing of one so dear br That while dirt the remains do cover, br His (or her) presence remains with us for ever.br br Sidi J.
