Ernestine Northover - Emptiness Descends

Ernestine Northover - Emptiness Descends

I've lost him in the clouds br gone from my view, br And however deep I seek br I can't pursue, br This man who was my love br someone so true, br So very much my refuge br my rendezvous. br Such emptiness descends br my world is blue! br br If I could fly up high br would he be there, br Looking down with eyes br that show his care, br Remembering the times br we used to share, br There isn't anyone br who can compare, br Such emptiness descends br he's gone elsewhere. br br But I will hold him here br within my soul, br And cherish all we had br so I feel whole, br He'll always be with me br and will console, br This hurting heart of mine br which all condole. br Such emptiness descends br what is my role! br br I'm out there on my own br I must last through, br For without his hand to guide br I've no value, br To finding my way alone br I have no clue, br Where will I go from here, br what will ensue.
