Anna Kelly - Empty Rooms

Anna Kelly - Empty Rooms

The music is over br No guests to fill these rooms br The hired help long gone br Intruding silence looms br br Long widowed by her husband br She's used to being alone br Grandchildren now grown br Seldom visit her home br br Patiently her flowers wait br Shrubs and vegetables beckon br Unable to stand up straight br Tired old bones stricken br br In God her Faith remains br and so too will she br Stay in her weathered house br Down by the sea... br br br *I wrote this in 1995 a few years before my dearly departed Nana left her home, but only for a brief time.
