Melvina Germain - (735) Lost desperate whore-Walk with me

Come now, my friend, come walk with me br through streets of dreaded hell. Walk with br me to garbage dumps, dark alleys, nasty br mattresses smell-won’t you walk with br me more and more to learn what befalls a br lost desperate whore. Won’t you take me br by the arm, lift me if you can, or would you br shy away leaving me here-look- br among the dirty drooling creeps of night br that ne’re sleep. Come-walk with me, br touch the soil where tattered shoes dent, br kiss the lips of those who never speak, feel br the pulse of the near dead, look upon the br crowd of dread. Careful now-step over br those who lie still on bedded ground, never br to move again, corpse after corpse of br uncared souls, Oh yes- come-walk br with me, can you see a possibility of br hope. Do you believe -I- want to survive, br to live as you, to thrive. Look at me, study br my weathered face, look into my lifeless eyes, br I’ve lost the feel for grace - love is not my br desire. I must eat, try to keep my heart full of br fire. Survival of the fittest, a number one br concern. Come, my street friend, walk with br me, see what stores my fate. I’ll not live to br see another year, nor will I have a love to br share. In charge no longer of my own br destiny for I have created a travesty. One br day a hose will blow my way, I shall fall br to the ground, swept away like waste br in a barn, I’ll lay dead and mutilated. br Walk with me, see where I go, so you will br never be- that old lost desperate whore br who feared her true destiny.
