The Bogus - boo br is a creature who br Comes out at night - and why? br He likes the air br He likes to scare br The nerves passes - by. br br Out from the dark br He comes with huffling pad. br If, when alone, br you hear his moan, br Tis like to drive you mad. br br He has two wings, br Pathetic things, br With which he cannot fly. br His tusks look feirce, br Yet could not peirce br The merest butterfly. br br He has six ears, br But what he hears br Is a very faint small; br And with the claws br On his eaight paws br He cannot scratch at all. br br He looks so wise br With his owl - eyes, br His aspect grim and ghoulish; br But truth to tell, br He sees not well br And is distinctly foolish. br br This Bogus-boo, br What can he do br But huffle in the dark? br So don't take fright; br He has no bite br And very little bark.
