I believe in God, br Or do I anymore? br I join my hands in prayer br But what for - I'm not quite sure. br br I look into the mirror, br A dog collar I see. br I feel it, push it, prod it br And wrench it out - I'm free! br br The people call me father br But I've never had a child. br Perhaps I'll marry soon - one day br Before my own demise. br br But now the days are long br As I stare out at the grass. br No one keeps me company, br I never say the Mass. br br The sisters here are kind br And see to all my needs, br But I'd really like a cuddle, br A cuddle - yes indeed. br br Night time turns to morning br And morning to the night. br I do not like the darkness, br For company - a light. br br My garden is a graveyard br Amongst the spirit clan, br I wish that I was there with them br For then I'd be a man!br br Joe Hughes visit joehughes.org.
