Ben Paynter - this bird, this metaphor

Ben Paynter - this bird, this metaphor

There is the question of life and I br Questioned it again on my way to br The next town, somewhere in between br This place and wherever this road br br Takes me, and I drew a bird once with br Only one wing and it flew in circles on br My page, around and around and finally br Gave up and sat just lead and lines br br And now I follow these lines, this gray road br To another place where I will find yet br Another metaphor for life, it is a compass br Without a north, it is a lie without br br A point, it is a grit toothed smile br It is a sunset without a moon, it is one br Step after one step, left than right, than br Circle and circle and slowly, slowly fadebr br Ben Paynterbr br
