Thoughts in random motion br As I sit before this screen br It's time to get my feet back on the ground - br Deeply contemplating br All the memories of my life br The many gifts and blessings that abound; br br The days are quickly passing br Time is lost and can't be saved br So many things I've yet to understand - br Have I lived my life well? br Have I given all I could? br Did I make this world a better place as planned? br br I never thought I'd end up br On my own, but here I am br Alone and wondering what it's all about - br I've always needed comfort br And someone to share my life br To stand alone I always felt in doubt; br br I know I should be happy br For the blessings I have found br But I feel there's something missing in my life - br My children grown and gone now br And my family far away br No longer am I mother, friend and wife; br br I made the choice to wander br On my own to find my truth br My search for wisdom led me far and wide - br And now I find the answers br In the friendships I have made br And insights gathered on the other side; br br This life has much to offer br If we take the time to see br The bounty that is ours if we just look - br And though my days are numbered br Still my eyes are open wide br Perhaps it's time to finally write my book!br br Linda Oribr br
