cyclopseven Ram - A Heaven I Miss

Sweet smell of burnt bushes and baked earth br still lingers in the memory though bygone in history br am awakened from the slumber’s depth br to the musical memory from the past gone by; br the days I used to wander br brushing the bushes in the forest br caring for the wild wilderness br now but a story shrouded in history br only to be told again and again; br the multicolored spiders br the poisonous snakes that slithered smoothly br beneath pile of dried rotten leaves br harmed me not even in their dreams; br the squirrels that gave me once a native fruit to eat br the monkeys that threw me once a bunch of fruits to be shared with friends br the orang asli (aborigines) who guided me with their skills br are all but embedded layers of past thoughts; br the years rolled fast, past my youth br only for me to carry on with but a bundle of memory; br oh, how I wish to be back then br to stroll again the motherly earth there br to smell again the burnt bushes and baked earth br to recover the sweet life hidden in the wilderness; br a place so dear to me br where survival taught in beautiful and colorful manner br hurt none embrace all; br I lived in meditation br utmost equanimity br life was full of equilibrium br amidst the greenery and serenity br of a forest br in Pengkalan Hulu br a heaven I lived once. br br br ©cyclopseven.
