In the velvety black of the midnight sky br Sprinkled with a glitter of stars on high br What lies before me is a sight to behold ~ br I would not trade it for rubies nor gold. br br The moon rises in the shape of a crescent br The sight of which is most pleasant; br I marvel that it seems to suspend in the air br And I wonder how far away it is up there. br br Contemplating the vast beauty above me br I survey the panorama I see. br I am blessed beyond measure ~ br Viewing the scene is sheer pleasure, br A hint of heavenly treasure, br Lord, God, I thank Thee br For this incredible beauty. br Lord, God, br I do thank Thee.
