patty barnes - The Sandman

Darkness calls like the doomsday bell br The sandman watches beneath hooded veil br Say your prayers before you sleep br For the dreams he weaves will make you weep br br From dragons breathe a mist will rise br So stay asleep and don't open your eyes br Now sleep my friend, you'll need your rest br For when terror beats your heart from your chest br br With ice cold hands he'll grip your heart br He'll shatter your dreams and rip them apart br Your visions of love, passion and lust br Will become ashes to ashes and dust to dust br br He'll laugh as from demons you try to run br To you it's a nightmare, to him this is fun br If you should die before you wake br Beware the reaper or your soul he'll take br br When hell crosses over and into your dreams br You'll open your mouth and try to scream br But only silence will echo in your ears br For the sandman knows your deepest fears br br As dawn approaches, he'll leave his prey br You'll forget your dreams and face the day br Although you've forgotten the hell dressed in black br He's waiting and watching until you get backbr br patty barnesbr br
