Ted Sheridan - She Told Me To Get The Heck Out Of Her Poem

Ted Sheridan - She Told Me To Get The Heck Out Of Her Poem

The Poet lives in a glass house br With no windows to the outside br Only doors br Leaving open the heart to be visited br By others br Even the unwelcome visitor br Is received br The Poet writes br With words that sometimes rhyme br The pen is put to the worldly task br Of describing what the Poet sees br And the heart feels br With words and not a brush stroke br Or a camera's flash br Pictures and paintings take on form br As if they were visions seen clearly br With the eyes br Of the Poet's true being and pure soul br Ink and paper br Tears and stains br Of past and present br Sorrows and pain br Loves and losses br Given the need to describe br What it is like to clean br A Poet's glass house br The Poet writes br With doors wide open br Come in br Take what you need br Give what you will br And leave br br Copyright ©2007 Ted G.
