Sidi J. Mahtrow - On Riding Tigers

Sidi J. Mahtrow - On Riding Tigers

When riding a tiger in the hunt br You learn to dismount br Very carefully so that br You don't become the tiger's lunch. br br Such it is with Wall Street today br As they continue on their spendthrift way, br With the housing market going flat br The investors are discovering that br Other things are also inflated br And like a tire can be deflated. br br Case in point (as tho one is needed) br Is the Blackstone founder; most greedy. br He stands to harvest quite a load of nuts br Regardless of the 'if, ands or buts.' br And like van Winkle rising from his nap br Congress is curious to what is going on about. br Pass a law is their answer to everything br In the absence of thought or reasoning. br br Another surprise that is in store br Is the coming pressure on investment house's lore br Till now seemed to be immune from market woes br But alas, along comes Bear Stearns, just one of those. br When there is a money crunch br Not far behind is the lawyer bunch br Who will gather up the fallen nuts from the tree br (Haps, they'll share some of the bounty with you and me?) br br So while the smart investor twist and turns br One has to ask if they'll ever learn. br br And the tiger grows fat and lazy.br br Sidi J.
