Peter S. Quinn - Sonnet 154, The Lemon Sonnet

Peter S. Quinn - Sonnet 154, The Lemon Sonnet

Lemons for you, for me - it's a lemon song, br Every fruit is sour that you can not reach; br Just like those days that sometimes come along, br If this tells you something I hope it can teach: br That crops of this earth are tasteful or not, br You pick them or eat, which you prefer? br If lemons are the sole fruit you've got, br I hope their sourness you always can bear. br Lemons, altogether - their sour shall last, br But freedom for all to choose what they like, br For selection and variety go hand in hand; br Be it young or old, be it slow or fast, br Each compartments in your life, you must dike br Up - make available - label and brand.br br Peter S.
