Second Innings - This is a collection of poems written for or from the point of view of an ageing person. br - br br Toffees, toys and showering gifts br Oh, pampering has spoilt my grandkids. br My own kids were never this lucky br For then I had so much responsibility. br But now that my kids are settled br And they are the one’s that toil, br I can take it slow and enjoy my life. br br But I need to make up br For the yearning to pamper br And for the lost time- br I can’t pamper my grown kids now, br But grandkids will be just fine. br ‘Lucky brats’, these grandkids of mine! br br (23 march 2007)br br .Pd.
