A struggle in native land br Deprived of basic needs br Lack of education br Drove me away to an unknown land br I came with an empty pocket br And i believed in the land I land my foot on br A land of fortune it was called br Malaya was its name then br Now after fifty years of independence br Its glows with pride and dignity br With the name of Malaysia br A land of diverse culture and religion br A land called Borneo with lush greenery br With abundant flora and fauna br It has one of the tallest building in the world br One of the longest bridge in the world br Has produced world class squash players like Nicol David br Malaysia is truly Asia br And thats what I know br About the land I call my mother land now br I am a Malaysian br I say and a Happy 50th Independence Day.
