I am an insecure poem br so you don't have to read on... br br Some people, br they don't like me br they say that br I am too short br br I think that is ridiculous br How can you dislike someone for being too short? br Well, I am not someone I am a poem br br And some people they say that I am too simple br and they don't like me because I read too openly and clearly. br They say that I don't compare with Shakespeare or Ginsberg. br Well I tell them I am not trying to be anyone I am not, br I am not that kind of poem! br br But br br Some people, they say that I am not even a poem! br ? ? ? ? br Just because I am different br ? ? ? ? br People are saying that they don't know what I am br ? ? ? ? br This makes me sad br How can people not recognize what I am? br br When ever I hear such criticisms I get upset br and I feel like crying... br I feel like I don't want to be here br and that this world is not for me. br However I shall not be moved br I will not cry br I will always stay the same br I believe in myself br I stand strong br I know that I am a poem br even if you think that I am not br I might not be Shakespear or Dylan Thomas br but br I guess it doesn't matter br Because br I am not part of the br flowery intelligentsia elite! br br In the end, I am what I am br and that's all that matters.
