Shelley L Baxter - *4* Gone Too Soon

Shelley L Baxter - *4* Gone Too Soon

Your embrace was not familiar, br yet I comfort you in my arms, br as I am gazing at your picture, br I still feel the magic of your charm. br br Desperately searching in pools of chocolate, br puddles of brown I will call your eyes. br I am swimming in your sockets, trying to peak into their depths, br getting weary of looking for the answers, all the ones you only kept. br br I am sinking in your senses embracing the world br through your sad loving eyes. br My eyes are viewing the pain you felt, br things that hurt you so much inside… br br I don't know what I am seeing, br Still I know you loved and felt so much. br I am wishing I could find the answers, br and the reasons why you chose to die. br br You kicked the chair right over, br and you fell into mid air... br OH MY GOD—I wish you saved him from himself, br dear Lord…oh Lord we cared. br br Michael if you seen the church today, br from the chapel in the sky, br Oh God, my friend, if you had known the torment we would feel inside, only standing room left, as we paid tribute to your life... br br My heart has grown wearier, since I said our last goodbye. br You were so young in age, yet your wisdom well beyond your years, gave you insight maybe you didn't want, br knowing your nights were filled with tears. br br I am looking at your picture, staring directly in your eyes, br I see the pain and innocence, and run my fingers through your afro... br I close my eyes, and sigh, oh it hurts me so, br that you felt you had to say goodbye. br br br (In memory of a very special sweet young man with the kindest of hearts and one of the most handsome of faces.Michael Stephen Simon June 29,87-April,21,05Written on May 1 2005.
