Ananda Alves - Divine Intervention

Ananda Alves - Divine Intervention

She wakes up br Grabs a cup of coffee br Tells herself everything is alright br br She makes some food br Her hands touching ingredients br Ten wrinkled wands flavouring them with care br br She watches a TV show br Age blesses her with a nap br Wind whispers her a story br In wich this woman would never feel sad br br Reality calls her name br Of course it was a dream br She never knew a life without pain br Nothing is quite as it seems br br Out of the window, the Sun says goodbye br 'I'll come back tomorrow br to warm you and your life' br br In a couple of hours Moon is there already br 'For 81 years you see me in sky hanging br I'll always be here to remind you to be steady' br br She's already feeling tired br Her back is very arched br The soul a long time bent br Knees are hurting br But she can still pretend br br She stares at the living room br From her core a trace of gloom br Brought by the memory of a man br Saying 'I'm leaving' with a suitcase in his hand br br Once again she swears it's fine br Back to routine br Every day and every night br She doesn't complain br It's already past midnight br br What was that sound? br Where it's being played? br It seems to be a lullaby br It makes her feel safe br br With a kiss and a pinch of faith br Time surrounds her with a cozy embrace br 'You do not have to be scared br Of you I'll take care br And if your burdens you can't bear br Think of me and I'll be there' br br Now she's trying to get some sleep br Praying to something she cannot see br Falls asleep, starts to dream br In wich shiny lights protect her skin br br These lights are divine intervention br But maybe just a dream in her sceptical mind br Those lights are Gods and Goddesses br Preparing her soul for one more day in this life.
