so you take away the pain br to make life less blinding br a few shots of vodka br followed by a long island iced tea br it didn't have a toll br when it was pawned off as br teenage angst br or college acceptance br but when you're 25 br and basically unemployed br it stings deep br rubbing alcohol onto the wound br that really needs stitches br instead of this br br I know I am not the victim br I got away slightly scathed br but with my pride intact br and no change to my last name br see, your new girl is the victim, br she doesn't see you br for the demon you really are br it is Halloween every day br you were a masked gentleman br until the cop pulled you over br for lack of sobriety br she still believes the best in you br as her pride is failing br and she fills out the grueling papers br to make the final change br at least tin foil can still count br as an engagement ring br br so your hand is permanently glued br to a flask or a bottle br gin and tears and a life wasted br behind bars, or still on br your mother's couch br waiting for someone to call your name br I can only imagine br the thoughts that linger in your head br but even greater, I presume br are the ones being washed awaybr br Lindsay Kingbr br
