The 13 colonies were the beginning br Of the beautiful country we know br Folks gathered from other places br To find a new place in which to go br br It started on the eastern coast br And slowly moved to the west br Hard work and tremendous struggles br To create a land that became the best br br Imagine leaving your homeland br Taking a chance you’ll find a new place br To discover and to develop from nothing br I’m sure this wasn’t planned in haste br br Because they were truly heroes, I feel br With a sense of adventure and curiosity br They were extremely intellectual people br It is almost unbelievable to me br br There are places displayed just for them br Those folks that pulled it all together br Through the most difficult times br In spite of all kinds of adverse weather br br I think it’s a wonderful thing to honor br And share with you and with me br Beautiful places like no other br Honoring our 13 colonies!br br Marilyn Lottbr br
