An internal fire burns, br Lights my life & is in all I learn br Fallen victim to pure dis concern, br I pull back the boundaries, to see between the lines br Now all I witness is the truth and lies br br Spilled out before us into our lives br I spread the word but receive jokes and jibes, br But all I show is the truth of our people’s lives br I guess there not ready to open there eyes br A flight of fancy before they realize br br Still it hurts deep inside br Right beside where my fire burns br Where people ignore your words and rhymes, no one cares, br At least for this moment in time br br To heal the world is an impossible task br But its inside me now I must work on it while it last’s, br Before becomes an empty vision from my past.
