Ted Sheridan - A Necktie Or A Noose For Father's Day

My lovely wife gave me a Father's Day card this morning br Because she knows our daughter will probably forget Dad br ....unless she needs some money for gas br The card was hand made with a picture on the front br Of my wife and me sharing a huge hug at my office desk br She was sitting on my lap with her arms around my neck br Her luscious lips puckered to deliver a package of Love br A Kodak moment to be sure...but only one of many more.... br When I opened the card there before my tired eyes br Was a picture of my beautiful daughter at the tender age of ten br (seems like only yesterday she was twenty) br And me sitting cross legged on the floor next to my precious br We were both loading up our tackle boxes br Mr. Wiffle fishing lures spread out all over the place br Her little laugh I can still recall..... br Laughing and so happy to be going fishing were we br Picking out the various colors of lures we would need br To catch that moment in time....only to be released all too soon br To suit any Dad who loves their child the way that I love mine br The hand written note inside the card br Told me of my wife's endless love for me br And what a great father and a wonderful husband I have been br All these many years.... br Because when you've been married as long as we have br There are no grounds for divorce......
