LORETTA BACON - Prejudice Haiku

LORETTA BACON - Prejudice Haiku

At an early age br hatred is taught to children br by bad parenting. br br Children can respect br all races and religions br when parents teach love. br br Children in the park br play together peacefully br where race matters not. br br Children learn to hate br by observing their elders br actions not their words. br br The ten commandments br are taught to Jews and Christians br but both forget them. br br We teach our youngsters br 'Peace on earth, goodwill to men' br but practice hatred. br br Two seats on the bus. br I sit next to the black man. br I am prejudiced. br br I am prejudiced br 'cause I choose on the basis br of color of skin. br br In a perfect world br we would see only people br not color of skin.
