JAPCHAE Wyeth - I DIDN'T KNOW I WAS LOOKING FOR A FRIEND

This poem is dedicated to Martin Goossens of Zandvoort, Netherlands. br He is my digital brother, an English professor, whom I met through the internet way back in 2003. br br br I was so alone and thinking just fine br I was not looking for everyone to be mine br I thought friends was just a fabrication br A train that wouldn't stop at my station. br br Home alone that was my consignment br And my solitary confinement br So when we met I was getting around you br I didn't know I was looking for a friend like you. br br Until I found you through the internet, Sir Martin br With your smile I am released from in vain br They way you talk I do really appreciate br Since the first time we gladly met. br br I didn't know I was looking for a friend br Until I found you without forbid br How can I give thanks to the Lord? br That you're here with me nice and good! br br No matter how far the distance is br Europe to Asia and vice-versa with a kiss br Philippines to Netherlands is quite a near br Zandvoort and Tacloban, the place we share. br br How can I forget a person like you? br With a sweet smile and words are true br A person who values friendship and emotion br In this world which has full of love and affection.
