Cletus and Leotard came over that day, br (five hours late) to install mini-blinds. br Lord, help us. Lead us in this valley of br Tears, to pray. br br Cletus was bearded, Leotard was fat. br Cletus scratched his balding stubble, br His bud began measuring. Unread br Directions screamed, but on the over- br Large table, resigned and sat. br br Leotard used an electric drill...plugged br In an outlet never-to-be-found. br Cletus looked around my temporary home, br Never cast an eye on me...which was best. br I wanted meat. Rare and ground. br br So, friends and neighbors, I sat on the bed, br Back against the wall, ankles crossed, br Shoes tapping fast. Not even a snarl as the br First blind fell, nor suggestion to read the br Directions. No profanity, for well I saw signs br br Of near sanity... br In Leotard. br Not Cletus.
