Hearken my love and heed this letter well br For as you do the charm will surly last br Pow’rs that be have blessed my unholy spell br Unbreakable charm of magic I have cast br br Devour each word and know that as you read br Thou shan’t forget the pow’r of written verse br Eternal soul and that which you must heed br I tell you this so you may know the curse br br You drank the poison, it is now too late br For by reading these words, the cursed is you br Damned you are so relish your new born fate br Bask in eternal torment you ensue br br For all who crossed me in this mortal life br Shall be afflicted with eternal strife br br br Author notes br br English Sonnet br br The volta changes at L9 where it is then too late for the reader.
