Walking through this world, br in the footsteps of my God. br At first, I was frightened br at the things I tried to do. br I hoped that I would not offend him, br by what I said about him, br but his hand guided me through. br He made me a better man, br in everything I do; br now I take pride in what I am. br br There is an old saying, br that pride goes before a fall. br Maybe in some ways that saying br might just be a little true. br One day I might just fall, br if friends desert me for what I do. br Until that day comes along, br I will write for them each day, br making them grin, laugh and smile, br for I take pride in what I am.
