Michael Shepherd - ! The unity of all things

Michael Shepherd - ! The unity of all things

The unity of all things br is a belief which some br would consider pointless; br br others might regard, br as insidious; suspect a lurking br hidden agenda; some br might says it’s useless and unproveable, br br declare pathetic fallacy, and hurry on br to life’s more pressing details and specifics; br br I can only say that there are things br so useful to the mind, although br they cannot be proved; br br I’ll say that holding this concept, br this glorious possibility, in the mind br makes one more inquisitive, be it br journalist or writer, or simply br human being: seeking always br the causes of all things beyond br what they profess to be; br br so too for poets, swimming in a sea br of metaphor – of all things joined br in one more radiant meaning which lights up br the life of every thing; as when br a housewife dusts and polishes br a room into a home; bestows br her being on our space; br br the unity of all things br makes space for all things; br Creation promises some order; br behind the smaller things, the greater; br br a place for grace, for ordered life, br for hope, and charity, and love; br br a boundless place; a grace; br a graceful space.
