Melvina Germain - (679) Fingers In The Pie (Children’s Poem)

Sitting on a windows ledge br on a warm summers day, br sat a pie waiting to cool br before the break of noon. br Along came little Kelly br with a sniffer oh so keen. br He followed the scent br oh heavenly bent, br a pie found on the scene. br He looked all around and br only saw the ground. br Thinking he was in the clear br he took his finger and tasted that pie, br Ummm, ummm, ummm my my. br Along came old Mrs. Frye, br why she picked up the broom br and paddled his tush. br Kelly didn’t care he took his blows. br Grabbed that pie now everyone knows br Kelly stole a pie from old Mrs. Frye.
